Soccer Recap: Catskill Comes Up Short

Catskill lost against Greenville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cats came up short against the Spartans, falling 9-1. While losing is never fun, Catskill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Greenville are ranked 66th).

Catskill is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9. As for Greenville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Coming up, Catskill will head out on the road to take on Taconic Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greenville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Waterford-Halfmoon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
