Pickens won against White County last Friday with 34 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Dragons walked away with a 34-23 win over the Dawson County Tigers. The Dragons' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Ike Wyngaard had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 130 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. Another player making a difference was McCord Purdy, who picked up 167 receiving yards and one score.

Pickens' win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Dawson County, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pickens will host North Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Dawson County, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Greater Atlanta Christian at 7:30 p.m. The Spartans will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
