Softball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne fell victim to Chapmanville Regional and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 7-0. The loss continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Chapmanville Regional, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Wayne and Chapmanville Regional will both be playing Lincoln County the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Pioneers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
