Football Game Preview: MacArthur Highlanders vs. Noble Bears + Official Tickets

The MacArthur Highlanders will challenge the Noble Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in MacArthur's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last nine games.

MacArthur's offense will try to repeat the strong performance it gave on Friday, when they got past Bishop McGuinness' usually-dominant defense. The Highlanders enjoyed a cozy 35-21 win over the Fighting Irish.

Aivan Locklin was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 209 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.3 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: MacArthur was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 311 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop McGuinness only rushed for -19.

MacArthur didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Gunner Tate, Willie Warren, and Jaquez Bradford picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Noble). They blew past Marshall, posting a 50-14 victory. Winning may never get old, but Noble sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Noble's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for MacArthur, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Everything came up roses for MacArthur against Noble in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 68-26 win. Will the Highlanders repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
