Baseball Recap: Clayton Find Success

While Clayton's win against Garner wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Clayton came out on top in a nail-biter against Garner on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Davis Duty tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Grant Buchanan was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Clayton now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Garner, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Clayton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Garner: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
