Football Recap: Dexter Southfield Takes a Loss

Dexter Southfield and Cheshire Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Dexter Southfield had to settle for second. They fell 31-20 to the Cats. Dexter Southfield was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Cheshire Academy earlier this season, when they won 29-23.

Cheshire Academy can attribute much of their success to Keegan Croucher, who threw for 276 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt. That's the most passing yards Croucher has posted since back in October of 2024. Aidan Good was Croucher's top target, picking up 106 receiving yards and one score.

Dexter Southfield has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. As for Cheshire Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Dexter Southfield nor Cheshire Academy have any future games scheduled.
