Softball Recap: Humble Takes a Loss

Humble was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Humble's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Goose Creek Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Humble will challenge rival Kingwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Goose Creek Memorial is set to face off against their familiar foe Atascocita at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Goose Creek Memorial 3.3, Atascocita 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
