Basketball Recap: Brookhaven Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Brookhaven waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They snuck past the Provine Rams with a 46-42 win. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brookhaven to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sh'Nya Hill, who posted nine points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Hill a new career-high in blocks (two). Kema Roberts was another key player, going 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points.

Brookhaven smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Brookhaven pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Provine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Brookhaven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-35 loss against North Pike on the 7th. As for Provine, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-43 defeat against Natchez on the 7th.
