Football Recap: Lumberton Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Lumberton's offense. They were dealt a 35-0 defeat at the hands of the St. Pauls Bulldogs on Friday.

Lonnie Porter threw for 54 yards on five of 13 attempts.

Yoshua McBryde was a one-man wrecking crew For St. Pauls. as he rushed for 208 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Jashon Carter was another key back, rushing for 68 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Lumberton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Pauls, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lumberton will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Westover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Pauls, they will take on Red Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
