Football Recap: Randolph-Clay Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Randolph-Clay fought the good fight in their overtime game against Mitchell County on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 40-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Darrius Robinson was nothing short of spectacular for Mitchell County: he picked up 220 receiving yards and three TDs. Those 220 receiving yards gave Robinson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Khalil Murray, who rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown.

Randolph-Clay now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Mitchell County, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Randolph-Clay is taking a road trip to square off against Pelham at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. The Red Devils will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mitchell County, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Terrell County at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
