Soccer Preview: Neuqua Valley Meets Naperville Central

The Neuqua Valley Wildcats will face off against the Naperville Central Redhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Coming off a road loss, Neuqua Valley was happy to be home on Thursday where their crowd gave them all the motivation they needed. Their defense stepped up to hand Elgin a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Naperville Central's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Neuqua Valley by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Naperville Central's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Neuqua Valley are ranked 160th).
