Basketball Recap: King's Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Lily Welsh and Vivian Galvis

King's Christian's game on Monday was all tied up 10-10 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 30-19 to the Gloucester County Christian Conquerors. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Conquerors are ranked 159th).

Despite the loss, King's Christian had strong showings from Vivian Galvis, who posted four points and five steals, and Lily Welsh, who earned seven points. Galvis is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

King's Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Gloucester County Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
