Christ Prep Academy proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by eight) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Plaza Heights Christian Academy Lions 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Joshua Neland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

At the plate, Christ Prep Academy's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Neland, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Christ Prep Academy now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christ Prep Academy will challenge The Daniel Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, they will face off against Kansas City East Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
