Volleyball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ellis Railroaders. If the Thunderbirds were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Railroaders when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Skyline ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 3-15-1. As for Ellis, their win ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-9.

Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Larned on the 27th. As for Ellis, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against South Gray on the 27th.
