Softball Recap: Absegami Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Absegami won the last time they faced Holy Spirit and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Braves came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 5-1. The game was the first time the Braves have beaten the Spartans on their field since April 19, 2021.

Absegami pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Holy Spirit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Absegami will take on Ocean City at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Holy Spirit, they will square off against Buena at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are facing the Chiefs at the right time seeing as the Chiefs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
