Basketball Recap: Brevard Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Brevard won the last time they faced Owen and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Brevard Blue Devils walked away with a 40-33 victory over the Owen Warhorses. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Owen lost, don't look at Elly Wright. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points along with five boards and four steals. That was a full 45.5% of Owen's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Mercurio, who put up five points.
