Recap: Bowen Boilermakers vs. Juarez Eagles

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Bowen Boilermakers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 77-62. The win was familiar territory for Bowen who now have seven in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bowen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Carter, who almost dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carter has scored all season. Rae'Qwon Rogers was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Bowen pushed their record up to 18-8 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.1 points per game. As for Juarez, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Bowen will head out on the road to face off against Chicago Mathematics & Science at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Chicago Mathematics & Science focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for Juarez, they will be playing at home against Back of the Yards College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
