Basketball Recap: Baraboo Takes a Loss

Baraboo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Poynette Pumas, falling 68-43. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 394th, while the Pumas are ranked 93rd).

Baraboo's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Poynette, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baraboo will head out to take on Beaver Dam at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Poynette, they will venture away from home to face off against Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Poynette knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Columbus likes a good challenge.
