Basketball Game Preview: Amboy Clippers vs. Fulton Steamers

Amboy is 0-10 against Fulton since December of 2014 but things could change on Friday. The Amboy Clippers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Fulton Steamers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Amboy will bounce into Friday's game after beating Milledgeville, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Amboy came out on top against Milledgeville by a score of 44-37 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Clippers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fulton). They put the hurt on Ashton-Franklin Center with a sharp 64-43 victory on Thursday. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Steamers had established a 20 point advantage.

Fulton pushed their record up to 16-15 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points over those games. As for Amboy, their record now sits at 12-17.

Amboy ended up a good deal behind Fulton when the teams last played back in January, losing 46-32. Can Amboy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
