The South Pasadena Tigers will face off against the Paraclete Spirits at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, South Pasadena needed a bit of extra time to put away Temple City. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Rams 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Jon Bracamonte made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because South Pasadena is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-15 otherwise. Bracamonte was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aaron Kawasaki, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Paraclete waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Wildcats as they made off with a 12-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spirits considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Anthony Hernandez looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Antonio Longobardi was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Abraham Perez, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.
Paraclete kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Paraclete pushed their record up to 11-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for South Pasadena, their victory bumped their record up to 7-16.
