Football Game Preview: Hoover Vikings vs. Northland Vikings

Hoover will face off against Northland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Hoover 14.8, Northland 12.1) so any points scored will be well earned.

Hoover lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Jackson, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over the Polar Bears on Friday. Considering the Vikings have won four games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Northland played against Beechcroft on Friday and won via forfeit.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Northland, bringing their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.6 points on average over those games. As for Hoover, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
