Softball Recap: Bellevue West Takes a Loss

Bellevue West lost against Elkhorn South back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Thunderbirds took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Storm.

Jaycee Woodard made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Leah Hanson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bellevue West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Elkhorn South, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bellevue West is set to take on their familiar foe Bellevue East at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Elkhorn South will face off against rival Marian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
