Football Game Preview: Canadian Wildcats vs. Muleshoe Mules + How To Watch

Canadian is a perfect 3-0 against Muleshoe since September of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wildcats will challenge the Mules at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Canadian has four straight wins, Muleshoe has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

It was a proper cat-fight when Canadian took on Childress on Friday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 49-27 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Canadian found their leader in sophomore Weston Mitchell, who threw for 291 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 80 yards and a pair of TDs. Another player making a difference was Slayden Dickinson, who gained 166 total yards and two touchdowns.

Canadian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Cj Jimenez led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Parker Sanchez also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 18. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Muleshoe played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 64-14 loss at the hands of Idalou. While losing is never fun, the Mules can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 748th, while the Wildcats are ranked 133rd).

Canadian's record now sits at 9-1. As for Muleshoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything came up roses for Canadian against Muleshoe when the teams last played back in September, as the team secured a 65-28 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Mules' Josue Sigala, who rushed for 126 yards and one score, and also threw for 68 yards and one TD while completing 80% of his passes.
