Soccer Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

Northwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the Catawba Ridge Copperheads, falling 6-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Catawba Ridge this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in March.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Catawba Ridge, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Northwestern will challenge rival Indian Land at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Catawba Ridge is set to square off against their familiar foe Rock Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
