Basketball Recap: Cascade Comes Up Short

If Cascade was feeling good fresh off their 70-50 takedown of Anamosa last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cascade Cougars came up short against the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks on Friday, falling 72-52.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 15-2. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Cascade wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-55 victory against Bellevue on the 7th. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, they have also already played their next contest, a 72-52 win against Cascade on the 8th.
