Soccer Game Preview: Monte Vista vs. Bonita Vista

The Monte Vista Monarchs will challenge the Bonita Vista Barons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Monte Vista will be strutting in after a win while Bonita Vista will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Monte Vista had just enough and edged Southwest SD out 2-1.

Damian Guerrero Paz and Anthony Briseno-Raddatz scored both of Monte Vista's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Bonita Vista unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They lost 4-1 to Mater Dei Catholic on Monday. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Barons struggled afterwards.

Monte Vista now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bonita Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
