Basketball Game Preview: Navajo Pine Warriors vs. Hozho Academy Wolves

The Navajo Pine Warriors will challenge the Hozho Academy Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Navajo Pine is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Navajo Pine came up short against Dulce and fell 49-42.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Riley Dawes, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Faila King, who went 7 of 10 on her way to 17 points.

Meanwhile, Hozho Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 35-31 to Rehoboth Christian.

Hozho Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Navajo Pine, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Things could have been worse for Navajo Pine, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 36-18 loss to Hozho Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023.
