Andrean wins going away against Highland

Recap: Andrean Fighting 59ers vs. Highland Trojans

The Andrean Fighting 59ers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past Highland with points to spare, taking the game 63-48. Given Andrean's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Highland is ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Highland saw an underclassman step up: Kayleb Young scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Young continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Justin Pack was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Andrean is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Highland, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Andrean will head out on the road to face off against Hanover Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kankakee Valley at 7:00 p.m.
