Baseball Recap: Tranquillity Takes a Loss

Tranquillity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Mendota Aztecs, falling 24-14. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Aztecs from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Bryan Buso was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Lewis Cruz also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Tranquillity's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Mendota, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-6 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tranquillity will take on rival Firebaugh at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mendota is set to challenge their familiar foe Dos Palos at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
