Softball Recap: Rushville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cambridge City Lincoln last Thursday, Rushville came back down to earth. The Lions came up short against the Lawrenceburg Tigers on Saturday, falling 18-10. The Lions have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Kyleigh Glandon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Macy Blevins, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Rushville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lawrenceburg, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Rushville by a score of 11-1 later that day.
