Basketball Recap: Jenna Walker and Mallorie Rose Secure Win for Kankakee Valley

Kankakee Valley won the last time they faced Knox and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Kankakee Valley Kougars walked away with a 41-34 victory over the Knox Redskins.

Leading Kankakee Valley to victory were Mallorie Rose and Jenna Walker. Rose dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards, while Walker posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Those five steals gave Walker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Camry Krueger, who scored ten points.

Kankakee Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive matches.

Kankakee Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Knox, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
