After a string of nine wins, Washburn's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the West Greene Buffaloes. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Pirates haven't been shut out since back in September.
Abigail Epperson paced Washburn's offense, picking up five kills. Epperson got some help from Kylie Ferguson and her seven assists. Epperson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Washburn's defeat dropped their record down to 23-8. As for West Greene, their victory bumped their record up to 17-8.
As of now, neither Washburn nor the Buffaloes have any future games scheduled.
