Baseball Recap: Central Dauphin East Takes a Loss

Central Dauphin East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hershey Trojans. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly four runs.

Jibreel Long was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits.

Central Dauphin East's record now sits at 2-4. As for Hershey, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Central Dauphin East will face off against rival Bishop McDevitt at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hershey is set to challenge their familiar foe Gettysburg at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
