Recap: Christian Learning Center Mustangs vs. Heartland Mustangs
The Christian Learning Center Mustangs put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Heartland 47-25. Christian Learning Center might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Micah Bean, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 rebounds set a new season-high mark for she. Another player making a difference was Rylie Allen, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Christian Learning Center's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Heartland, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Learning Center will square off against Center Place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Center Place: 30, Christian Learning Center: 27.4) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Heartland, they will head out on the road to face off against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Plaza Heights Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Monday.
