Basketball Game Preview: Classical Academy Caimans vs. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Mustangs

After both having extra time off, the Classical Academy Caimans and the Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Mustangs will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Classical Academy, who comes in off a win.

Classical Academy will bounce into Monday's contest after beating San Pasqual, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. It was close, but Classical Academy ultimately received the gift of a 43-40 victory from a begrudging Caimans squad.

Classical Academy found their leader in freshman Issac Chapman, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chapman has scored all season. Nathan French was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-50 heartbreaker at the hands of San Jacinto Valley Academy.

Classical Academy's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
