Volleyball Recap: Rifle Find Success

After losing to Roaring Fork the last time they met, Rifle decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bears skirted past the Rams 2-1.

Kensee Boyd paced Rifle's offense, picking up five kills. Boyd really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Rifle's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Roaring Fork, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rifle will head out to take on Battle Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Bears their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Roaring Fork, they will challenge Steamboat Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
