Basketball Recap: Kelliher/Northome Picks Up 13th Consecutive Win

Kelliher/Northome had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 60.9 points) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Friday. They walked away with a 96-84 win over the Kittson Central/Lancaster Bearcats.

Kelliher/Northome was led to victory by Kate Thayer and Kylee Binkley. Thayer almost dropped a double-double with 43 points and nine assists, while Binkley went 11-for-20 to rack up 33 points along with eight assists and eight boards. Thayer has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 55 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Allison Lundin, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Kelliher/Northome smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 20 consecutive games.

Kelliher/Northome's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 94.6 points over those games. As for Kittson Central/Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.

As of now, neither Kelliher/Northome nor Kittson Central/Lancaster have any future games scheduled.
