Baseball Recap: Rancho Wins Going Away Against Eldorado

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rancho). They never let the Eldorado Firehawks get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Brady Paulson was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jose Garcia, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of William Patriquin, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Rancho always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .792. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Rancho is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Rancho will welcome Legacy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eldorado, they will venture away from home to challenge Clark at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
