Soccer Game Preview: Amador vs. Union Mine

The Amador Buffaloes will square off against the Union Mine Diamondbacks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Amador fell victim to Galt and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 897th, while the Warriors are ranked 154th).

Meanwhile, Union Mine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Rosemont.

Amador has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Union Mine, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1.

Amador beat Union Mine 2-0 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Does Amador have another victory up their sleeve, or will Union Mine turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
