Baseball Recap: Colebrook Academy Wins Going Away Against Moultonborough Academy

While Colebrook Academy put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Moultonborough Academy. The Mohawks blew past the Panthers 10-0. Considering the Mohawks have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Vinny Santamaria was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Dylan Dauphnais and Rory Shaw did most of the damage at the plate: Dauphnais went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Shaw went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Shaw a new career-high.

Colebrook Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Moultonborough Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
