Volleyball Recap: Farmington Falls Despite Big Games from Ellie Schow and Leah Johnson

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Farmington and Fremont, and Fremont kept the tradition alive. The Phoenix fell 3-1 to the Silverwolves on Thursday. If the Phoenix were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Silverwolves when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Farmington started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-21.

Farmington's loss came despite strong showings from Leah Johnson and Ellie Schow. Johnson had 16 digs and two aces, while Schow had eight digs and two assists.

Farmington's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farmington will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Mountain Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fremont, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Weber at 6:30 p.m. on the 19th.
