Volleyball Recap: Shady Spring Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Shady Spring waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Greenbrier West Cavaliers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Shady Spring easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-11.

Baylee Richmond paced Shady Spring's offense, picking up nine kills. Richmond got some help from Reagan Mann and her 14 assists. Mann was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Shady Spring's victory bumped their record up to 31-11-1. As for Greenbrier West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-18-2 record this season.

Shady Spring wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against South Charleston on the 21st. Greenbrier West has also already played their next contest (against Bluefield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
