Baseball Recap: Hough Snags 11th Victory in Last 12 Games

Hough had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Hopewell Titans 11-2 on Tuesday. Considering the Huskies have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hough has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hopewell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-7.

Looking ahead, Hough will take on Marvin Ridge on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Huskies 3.6, the Mavericks 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Hopewell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
