Basketball Recap: North Garland Takes a Loss

North Garland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Wylie East Raiders, falling 45-17. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against North Garland this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-29 back in December of 2024.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Rehanna Adam and Marhiana Hughes, who each put up six points. Adam also led the team in rebounds with ten. Ashley Gomez took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

North Garland's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Wylie East, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-15.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Sachse the next time they take the court. Wylie East will host Sachse at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while North Garland will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
