Baseball Game Preview: Jefferson Davis County Jaguars vs. Sacred Heart Crusaders

Jefferson Davis County hasn't had much luck against Sacred Heart recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Jefferson Davis County Jaguars will take on the Sacred Heart Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Jefferson Davis County can't be to happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Saturday. They came up short against Lumberton, falling 12-0.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart entered their matchup against Moss Point on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Sacred Heart fell just short of Moss Point by a score of 7-6. The loss was the Crusaders' first of the season.

Brad Marrero was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Darren Brown, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Jefferson Davis County might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Sacred Heart in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Jefferson Davis County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
