Basketball Recap: Southeastern Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against King, Southeastern was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Western International Cowboys by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-49 two weeks ago.

Southeastern's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Western International, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeastern will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clintondale at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. Western International also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th.
