Basketball Recap: Mount Miguel Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mount Miguel lost against Coronado back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Matadors took a hard 54-39 fall against the Islanders.

Coronado got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Austin Brown out in front who went 6-for-10 on his way to 13 points along with seven assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ah'Mahn Oliver, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.

Mount Miguel now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Coronado, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mount Miguel will challenge Bishop's at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Matadors will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Coronado, they will take on Otay Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Islanders' defense better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 52 points per game this season.
