Basketball Recap: Fairmont Senior Takes a Loss

Fairmont Senior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Albert Gallatin Colonials. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Polar Bears came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 36th in West Virginia, while the Colonials are ranked 337th in Pennsylvania).

Fairmont Senior's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Albert Gallatin, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.
