Football Recap: Chapel Hill Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Chapel Hill unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. The matchup between the Panthers and the Campbell Spartans didn't end well, with the Panthers falling 21-7. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Campbell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Davin Lemire led the charge by throwing for 226 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 72 yards and one score. Lemire showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 63 yards. Campbell's leading receiver Nick Buggs was Lemire's top target yet again, picking up 157 receiving yards and one TD.

Chapel Hill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-6 win against Osborne on the 22nd. As for Campbell, they have also already played their next game, a 42-19 victory against South Forsyth on the 22nd.
