The Adams Central Patriots will take on the Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Adams Central is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

On Thursday, everything went Adams Central's way against Lexington as Adams Central made off with a 68-46 victory. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Minutemen are ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Adams Central found their leader in sophomore Kowen Rader, who posted 26 points. The dominant performance gave Rader a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Riley Propp, who earned 15 points.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Ashland-Greenwood's strategy against Kearney Catholic on Thursday. Ashland-Greenwood strolled past Kearney Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 48-29. The Bluejays haven't had any issues with the Stars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Adams Central pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points over those games. As for Ashland-Greenwood, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.

Adams Central strolled past Ashland-Greenwood in their previous matchup back in March of 2021 by a score of 56-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Adams Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
